In a pitching duel the Palmer Club was able to fend off the Braves. With some below average field conditions there wasn't much defense on display during this one; both teams took advantage putting a lot of balls in play. Standouts on the day for the Palmer Club included Eric "Shortly" Longley, Rookie Max Iorio, and little Alex Venditti. Longley had 3 hits on the day , scored 2 runs, and drove in a pair. Iorio added a big triple that brought in 3 runs and also scored 3 runs himself. Old Alex Venditti was able to bloop a ball the other way to left for his first extra base hit of the year. James "Moose" Bussiere took the victory on the day and Tony Trafecanty was able to weasel his way into and capitalize on a save.
