The Havoc batted around in the first inning and jumped out to a 6-run lead, capped by a 3-run home run by Brett Rudy.
Overall, the Havoc smashed 19 hits, including 4 hits from Patrick Valdes (with a double), 3 from Kyle Johnson (with 2 doubles), and 3 from Rudy (with his homer). Omar Ortiz doubled twice, and Rommel Peguero also doubled. Chris Dowd, Paysa Garcia, and pitcher Mitch Philibert also each had a pair of hits.
On the mound, Mitch Philibert improved to 5-0, pitching 6 strong innings with 10 strikeouts, allowing 7 scattered hits and 3 runs (1 earned). Pablo Lora made his catching debut, and threw out a runner.
DJ Conrad and Paysa Garcia closed out the final frame, with Garcia pitching to only one batter with the bases loaded and recording a double play.
For the Dodgers, Zach Santomauro had a pair of hits from the leadoff spot.
With the win, the Havoc improve to 12-6 and pull into 2nd place in the 28+ Red Division. |
