Giants come up with the Opening Night win over the Breakers. Trailing 5-4 in the bottom of the 6th inning, Nick Rotolo came up with a clutch 2-RBI double that would put the Giants in the lead at 6-5. In the top of the 7th inning, Juan Sanchez reached base to lead off the inning. But on a stolen base attempt to put the tying run into scoring position, catcher Nick Laganza threw him out. Tom Levett picked up the win, tossing 3 innings of scoreless relieve behind starter, Kevin O'Leary, as the Giants battled back all game. For the Breakers, Billy Traft and Brian Merrick each had multi-hit games to start their season, while Juan Sanchez was HBP twice. Ouch!
