Veteran Tony Trafecanty put Palmer on his back and carried the team to victory. Over 7 innings Trafecanty struck out 15 batters while allowing only 2 runs (1 earned). Trafecanty's fingerprints were all over this game. At the plate he even took a fastball to the head. Tony was fine but the same couldn't be said for the ball, it was dented and no longer playable. Offensive standouts on the night were Chris Hoyt (2-3) who had 2 runs scored and a double on the night, Jim Perron (2-4) with a run scored and an RBI, Jose Toledano (1-3) with 2 big RBI's, and Andy "Toy Story" Brooks (2-4) with an RBI. Despite not having a relief pitcher or bench player available on the night Palmer put together a solid win.
