The Royals offense came back to life Thursday night in Boston with 13 runs on 11 hits and 7 walks. Ben Palatino (2 runs, 3 RBI) and Ryan Ritell (4 RBI) took care of driving in more than half of the Royals runs. Rookie Steve Rivela broke out with a 3 for 4 night that included 3 runs, 1 RBI, and 2 SB. Brian Burke was his usual self, giving up just one earned run over six innings. He excelled most at keeping balls out of the outfield so his fielders wouldn't have to truck any of the teenage girls participating in the rugby clinic in center field.
