After losing two straight to the Mariners, the Royals got back in the win column yesterday with a 2-0 win over the Central Mass Expos. The game was scoreless into the bottom of the fifth inning when Mike Ahearn put the Royals ahead with a 2 out RBI single. The Royals got a huge pitching performance from rookie Brian Burke who went the distance throwing a complete game shutout, allowing 3 hits with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts. The Royals take on the Malden Marlins next Sunday.
