Norfolk County Mariners 10, Pepperell Red Dogs 4
PLAINVILLE -- In a game that saw seventeen free passes issued to batters, the Norfolk County Mariners offense came alive after an embarrassing performance one week prior vs. division rival Canton. With a depleted roster riddled with injuries and lame excuses for other commitments, Manager Connor Brown (who was vacationing & trying to relax in Florida), conducted a front office masterpiece that Keith Lockhart would be proud of. Digging deeper than ever before into his war-chest of washed up, once promising ball players, he activated Jack Ross & Jake Cox who provided just the spark the Mariners needed, going 3-6 with 2RBI,2R,2BB,and a SB on the day. GK Goldberg earned the CG Win with a near 500 pitch marathon performance where he no-hit the Red Dogs into the 5th while also surrendering a CABL record-setting 10 walks on the day. Kajano went 3-3 & Boulter had a 2 run double. Everett went 0-1 with 3BB's |
