Wed, 14 July, 8:00PM, at Chelsea - Chelsea HS
Reds 2, White Sox 1
Sean Magee (7IP 3H 8K) and Brian Houlding (5.1 IP 5H 5K) pitched a great game at Chelsea High. It was the Reds who came out on top 2-1 and snapped the White Sox 10-game win streak.
The White Sox started the scoring in the fourth with a Al Wiesner single, moved over on a HBP. Then scored on an RBI single from Ryan Gray.
The Reds answered back in the fourth. Tony Ramos drew a walk, moved to second on a fielders choice. Wes Leary then got a hit and stole second. The throw went into center and Ramos scored.
In the fifth, Matt Bloomer drew a two out walk, stole second, and Chris Chase hit a single to drive in the eventual winning run.
Al Wiesner had two hits and came in relief to K the final two batters for the White Sox. Wes Leary had three singles for the Reds. |
