In a defensively-challenged game by both sides, the White Sox came out on top for their 10th straight win to regain control of the Atlantic Conference.

Al Wiesner pitched 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball before Dave Martin came in to strike out the final two batters of the game. Overall, it was a back-and-forth battle all the way, highlighted by newly returned Greg Kosc of the Royals throwing out two Sox runners at the plate from centerfield.

For the Sox, 10 different players recorded hits, but Nate Pane stole the show. He was the only Sox player with two hits, plus he scored from third on a gutsy attempt on a passed ball, and also scored from second base on an infield single.

Nate Pane shows guts on the bases; Greg Kosc has two outfield assists.
