The Red Sox and Spinners played to a 7-7 tie after a six inning see-saw battle. After a 25-minute lighting delay, the Spinners struck first with three runs in the first innings. Ricky Salvia started the rally by reaching base on an error and later scored on a Mike Knell. Knell and Ryan Gaffney scored to give the Spinners a 3-0 lead. The Red Sox battled back to take a 5-3 lead in the third inning. Anthony Valentino and John Marqeson reached on errors and later scored. Will Ferdinand hit a three run homer to give the Sox the lead. The Spinners added a run in the fourth, when Mike Mori singled and scored on a Dan Caceres single to cut the lead to 5-4. The Red Sox added two runs in the fifth with Tyler Ferdinand and Nick Radcliffe singles and two RBI's from Craig Persechini and Will Ferdinand.
