White Sox 8, Mariners 2
Despite coming into Tuesday's game with a win, loss, save and 15 innings under his belt in the last 3 days (from across leagues), Eamonn McDonough was able to last 2 innings in his start versus the Mariners.
The Mariners put up two runs to take a 2-0 lead with a first inning single by Freni and a second inning double by Cameron.
Enter Nate Pane for the White Sox. Nate took the hill in the 3rd inning and closed it out, tossing 5 innings of scoreless ball, allowing just 4 hits and racking up 7 K's. This allowed the Sox offense to battle way back, and some. Mike Lembo had multiple hits in the comeback, while Joe Lombardi, Graham Bosworth and Jason Ackerson each had 2 RBI. The Sox run big run production came in the 3rd and 4th innings. Nate Pane grabbed his first win of 2004, and the Sox won their 4th straight. |
