In top of the first, Kyle LaVigne led off with an infield single and would later advance to third after 2 stolen bases. Matt Bishop would end up getting an RBI groundout to put the Reds on the board. After the first, starting pitchers Tim Woods (Bulldogs) and Jhonneris Mendez, would each cruise through opposing batters until Josh Drew stepped up and hit an RBI single to bring in Talis to tie the game. Each pitching staff would continue to throw well to force extra innings. In top of the 8th, Ryan O'Connor had a lead off walk and would eventually steal 2 bases to get to third. Cam Farnham would have a great at-bat and eventually J.J. Branch threw a wild pitch and O'Connor scored to win the game.
