Champions came out on top of a back and forth game by getting 5 runs in the top of the 7th. Champions struck in the first on a 2 run triple by Chad Martin followed by a Derek Lyons sac fly. North Reading tied it in the bottom half, the big blow being a two run double by Ben Harrow. With North Reading ahead 5-4 in the 5th Lyons hit a two out 2 run triple to get the lead back for Pub. North Reading answered in the bottom of the sixth with 2 runs to take a 7-6 lead. Champs opened up the 7th with a Brian Marshall walk and after an out Mark Shorey doubled, his 4th hit of the game. After an intentional walk Lyons tied it up with a sac fly to score Marshall. Zach Keenan came in and hit a pinch hit 2 run double to give Pub the leave for good. Marc Crovo followed with an RBI single, stole 2 bases to end the scoring. Scott Weismann got the win in a planned staff outing that featured Mike Moroney, Dennis Gramolini and John Guilmet.
