The Spinners closed out the 2014 regular season with a 5-1 win over the Brockton Reds Sunday. Down 1-0 in the fifth, the Spinners rallied for three unanswered runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth. Isaac Valvidiezo singled in the fifth with two runners and scored Armando de Los Santos and Ricky Salvia. Valvidiezo later scored on a Mark Killoren single. In the sixth, Mike Tufo reached base on a walk and Pat Canning singled. Both scored respectively on a de los Santos double and a Salvia sacrifice fly. Nick Marine went five strong innings, giving up one earned run while striking out five. Dan Blomerth came on in the sixth for two innings of relief. The Spinners now await the conclusion of the BMBL regular season to see who they will face in the first round of the playoffs.
