A good effort by the Blue Sox, but the Thunder just kept coming. Andy Lucibello got the win with 5 innings of work, limiting the Sox to 1 run on 2 hits, with nice relief from Frank Marr (first appearance) 3 innings of shutout relief, striking out 6. Offensively, Frank hit an inside the park home run and a double, plus doubles by Jon Story and Paul Laurin, led the attack. The Sox scored in the first ona couple of quick hits, but the Thunder answered right away with 2 on singles and SBs by Brian Chen, Dave Brown and Chuck April. Two more in the second on another key hit by Chen, and then 4 in the third would be all they would need (hits by Bromley, Lucibello, Jim Rullo, Chen and Marr. Thirteen Thunder players hit safely in the game.
