McKay Club Beacons 8, Revere Rockies 4
The Beacons advanced and defeated the Revere Rockies at Chelsea HS by a score of 8-4. Brian Mylett was called upon once again by the Beacons. Brian is having control problems right now. He only lasted 2.2 innings after walking 6, hitting a batter and allowing 3 runs (2 earned) in that span. John Nee was called upon in relief and shut the door to the Rockies.
Neezo tossed 4.1 innings; allowed 1 unearned run on 4 hits. Neezo’s record is 1-1. His only other pitching assignment was in the fog at East Boston Stadium a month a go. This was a huge pick me up for the beacons, by Nee!
McKay Club batters: Drew Tambling (3-4; triple & 2 singles: 2 runs scored and 1 RBI); Kyle McKay (3-4; 3 singles; 2 stolen bases; scored 3 times & had 2 RBI); Rob Lerro (3-4); 3 singles, a stolen base an RBI and a runs scored) and Captain Jack Owens (2-3; 3 RBI and a big sac bunt to produce a run in the 4th) led the 13 hit attack.
