Behind a very strong pitching performance by Jon Story (2 hits, 2 BBs, 5 Ks), the North Andover Thunder notched their 2nd win over the Newton Bombers. NA got on the board in the 4th when Brian Chen reached on an Error, Frank Marr walked, and they executed a double steal to get to 2nd and 3rd. Chuck April bounced to second to score Chen, and Paul Laurin hit a sac fly to center to score Marr, and that was all they needed. NA got 3 more in the 5th on a walk to Andy Lucibello and singles by Gregg Bromley, Steve Hattan and Chris Abadi, and one more in the 6th on a walk to Jim Rullo and a single by Tony Onello. A real team effort! Newton's Chris Hayward pitched effectively after that, yielding only the one run in the 6th, but the damage was done.
