The Thunder ended the regular season with a 12-5 win in the mist and fog of Clifford Field. The jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first on hits by Brian Chen, Chuck April,Jon Story, Gregg Bromley and Jim Rullo. Chen had 3 hits and Paul Laurin, Chuck April and Scott Ringland 2 each for the Thunder. Solid defense as well from Dave Brown at First Base, Bromley and later Mike Rullo at Third, Chris Abadi at Short, and Mike Rose and Ton Onello in the dark in left field helped seal it. Paul Laurin threw a solid 3-hitter, striking out 9, walking 3 and hitting 2 batters, yielding only 3 earned runs. The Cubs got good pitching from Jamie Waters and Robb Roddenberry and some solid defensive play of their own. Overall, considering horrid field conditions, it was a well played game.
