The Mets continued to roll with an 11-hit attack in a 6-1 win. Tim Fortune didn't allow a hit through the first four innings and evened his record at 4-4. Fortune allowed only two hits over six innings, striking out nine along the way. Offensively the Mets broke out behind a Dan Doherty two-run homer and triples from Jay Joyce (3-for-4) and Brian Rochette (2-for-3). The Mets got all 11 hits in the first three innings. Reds lefty Derek Garabedian (RBI) came on and pitched 3 2/3 innings of hitless relief. With a third-inning single, Mets first baseman Greg Cote recorded his 100th career hit in his fourth MABL season.
