With both teams shorthanded, this game promised to be an extraordinary one. Extraordinary it was indeed. The Grays scored one in the top of the first only to see the Senators plate three in the bottom half of the first. The Grays chipped away with one more run in the top of the 2nd making the score 3-2 Senators. The Senators scored one more run in the bottom half of the fifth inning, increasing their lead to 4-2. SP Matt Coyne and relief pitchers pitched well for the Senators who shut down the Grays offense until the top of the 7th. With runners on first & second & the Grays down to their final two outs, Greg Leblanc (1-1 HR, 3RBI, R) stepped up & hit a first-pitch 3R HR to left field into the Chelsea H.S. playground giving the Grays a 5-4 lead. The Senators had one last chance in the bottom of the 7th to take back the lead which they had for most of the game. They would fall just short & lose a close one by a final of 5-4.
