The D'Backs won their 3rd straight to go to 3-0 on the season. Aaron Bend singled Tommy Bligh home in the 1st after Bligh walked. The Astros got 2 in the 3rd after Cory Edgar hit a shot to left field scoring Anthony DeLuise. Edgar scored shortly thereafter on an errant throw. The D'Backs batted around in the 4th scoring 10. Highlights include 2 hits by Bill Schellbach who had a big/expensive day going 3-3 and breaking 2 bats. Joe Rockers crushed a 3 run double scoring Schellbach, Mike McGoohan, and Chris Buckley. Sam Price delivered a RBI single scoring Rockers and Rich Antash knocked Nick Reiser home. Bend tacked on 2 more runs by driving Antash and Bligh home. In the 5th the D'Backs added one more run when Buckley scored his second run of the day. Kevin McGovern pitched 5 innings of 2 hit ball striking out 4 for the victory.
