Sam Finn (1-0) tossed six shutout innings and Lexington took advantage of seven walks and six Mooney errors for an 8-2 win Friday night. Finn allowed only two hits, walked one and struck out four. Ben Mullin hit a two-run home in the seventh to account for Mooney's offense. Mike Morgan had an RBI double, Steve Gath drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and Tommy Haugh brought in the last run when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Four of the Blue Sox eight runs scored because of an error.
