Lexington clinches first place with a 3-2 win in game one of a doubleheader. Eric Poling drove in the game-winner with an RBI single to left in the sixth that scored Ben Hewett. Matt Karis improves to 8-0 going 6.2 innings with six strikeouts. Poling scored the first two runs for the Sox, both times coming home on RBI singles by Pete Frates. Pete John hit his fifth home run in the six to tie it at 2-2. Willie Allen drove in the first run with an RBI double in the fifth.
