Lexington (5-1) won its third shutout of the season with a 1-0 win over Reading. Steve Bodnar (1-0) and Connor Buckley (save) combined on the two-hitter. Bodnar went five innings, gave up two hits, walked one and struck out six. Buckley tossed the last two innings and retired all six batters, two by strike outs. The games only run came in the second inning when Eric Poling and Nick Martinho walked to start the inning. Chas Agrillo hit a ground ball to second and Reading second baseman Joe Harvey overthrew first in an attempt to turn the double play allowing Poling to score.
