Lexington (1-0)opened the 2010 season with a 4-3 win over Medford (0-2). Blue Sox starter Gabe Ribas (6 IP, 3 H, 9 K) was perfect for 5.1 innings before Jose Polanco bunted for a single to break up the perfect game. Charlie Pagliarulo singled to drive in Medford's first two runs later in the sixth. Matt McEvoy singled in the first to drive in Ben Hewitt and Pete Frates with the first two Lexington runs. Nate Witkowski made it 4-3 in the seventh with a pinch-hit bases-loaded fielders choice. Drew Brzozowski bore down and struck out the final two batters to record the save.
