The Quincy Grays were able to come out on top in a pitcher's duel. Grays starter Jay O'Hara and Reds starter David Callaghan held both teams scoreless through 5 innings. Callaghan had also only given up two hits through 5. However, the Grays offense came alive in the 6th inning with a double by Chris Barrientos and then an RBI single by Tad Beagley. They tacked an insurance run on in the 7th inning with Jack O'Leary knocking in Nate Hendrickson, who had reached on a triple. Jay O'Hara picked up the complete game shutout victory.
