In the first meeting since game 5 of the 2008 Bay State divisional championships, rookie Bob Sinopoli and Jon Rheault and their battery-mate Matt Meuse combine to no-hit the second place Reds. In a spot start, Sinopoli was dominant through 5 with 8 Ks. In the 6th, Jon Rheault relieved Sinopoli when a blister prevented him from continuing. Rheault secured the win, pitching two perfect frames while also earning his second career no-hitter. Offensively, things were also quiet for the Sens until the 7th when Matt Coyne (BB) and Matt Meuse (2B) were driven home on a single by Greg Conant. Reds starter Mike Nadolny pitched well in defeat.
