Kevin Johnson doubled in Jason Roth with one out in the bottom of the seventh to give Wakefield a 1-0 win. Roth, who singled with one out, came all the way around from first with the only run of the game. Kevin Tidmarsh improved to 4-3 and scattered 8 hits. He handed Lexington its first shutout of the season. Marc Hewett, 8-1, suffered his first loss of the season. He gave up five hits, walked two and struck out four.
