Marc Hewett (5-0) pitched another terrific game (110 pitches) for the Lexington Blue Sox. He picked up the win with 7 IP of 1 hit ball, along with 9 K's. The only hit of the night for the Wakefield Merchants was a bloop single to right field by Josh Band, but he was quickly erased on a stolen base attempt by catcher Ben Hewett. Despite being held to only four hits by the combination of Darren Bisso (L) and Kevin Flight, the Blue Sox managed to squeak out four runs. Two of these runs came in the bottom of the 6th inning on back to back hits by Ross Curley (double down right field line) and Ben Hewett (screaming single to left). The other two runs were scored in the bottom of the 2nd inning on a single to right field by Ben Hewett and a sacrifice fly to left field by Ryan Duff.
