Dave Valdez hit a towering 2-run homer off Wakefield starter Tidmarsh in the sixth inning to put the A's on top. Dan Orme picked up the win after throwing scoreless 6th and 7th innings. Mike Roberts and Ari Glantz each had two hits on the day and Chris Curran and Glantz provided an RBI each.
