The Merchants handed Lexington their first loss behind a gutsy pitching performance from Kevin Flight and Jared Marchesi. In Flight's first start of the season he held Lexington to two runs. Marchesi came in to pitch the final 1 2/3 innings for the save. Wakefield's Dana D'Agostino drove in 3 runs with a double and sacrifice fly.
