The Blue Sox, down 7-0 after three innings, rallied for ten runs over the final three innings to defeat the Americans by a score of 10-9 Tuesday night at Playstead Park.

Eric Poling had three hits including two doubles for Lexington. Ryan Duff and Erik Thomas each had a pair of hits for the winners.

Sam Steed worked the sixth and seventh for Lexington to earn the win in relief.

Medford starting pitcher Orazio Azzarello was lifted in the fifth with the bases loaded and one out but the bullpen was unable to hold the lead, giving up five runs in the fifth and five more in the seventh. The Americans made two critical, two-out errors in the seventh to hand the Blue Sox the win.

Johnny Welch had three of Medford's thirteen hits on the night. Steve Panza, Ryan McCarthy and Steve Tahmoush had two hits each for the Americans.
