Those spunky cellar dwelling Nationals, they wouldn't roll over and let us beat the stuffing out of them. And they very nearly pulled it out this day as they caught a short staffed Savin Hill team without starting pitchers. Going into the top of the 6th the home team Nats had a slim 8 -7 lead with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd. That oft discussed play where the runner on 1st gets caught in a rundown while the runner on third scores before the runner is tagged out. Yep! You've heard of it. But, who would dare to do it?
