Kevin Rowley lined a three-run double in the first to get Stockyard off and running, Stewart Park added two hits and three RBI and Hal Carey had three hits as Stockyard bounced back in the second game after dropping the completion of the suspended contest. Towne drew close in the fifth, but Stockyard put it away with five straight hits in the sixth. The top of Towne's order (Tim Reinhardt, Don Ferbert, Jim Klocek and Wayne Duggan) all went 2 for 4.
