The White Sox and Tigers battled it out at the OK Corral in Chelsea as the skies cleared but the thunder still rolled. The Tigers jumped on top in the 1st with 3 straight hits followed by a Murph SF, then a single by the white hot Mike Morgan. The White Sox took the lead in the 2nd on 4 singles including a fake bunt slash by Smith, but the Tigers evened it up in the bottom half on a Gib BB and a Pane 1b to drive him in. From there the Tigers didn't look back as Wlodarczyk didn't allow a hit the rest of the night. Morgan knocked in the game winner in the 3rd, reaching base for the 8th straight time, and JP put it away with a missile to right for his 3rd Monster Mash of the year. This game was certainly all it was cracked up to be as the two teams fought to the end, but the Tigers were able to come out on top and tie the Indians for the Division lead going into the big weekend DH.
