Wed, 11 July, 8:00PM, at Roxbury - Clifford
Senators 9, Rangers 5
The game started off on a sour note for the Senators as the Rangers' leadoff hitter Andy Katz lead off with his 2nd career home run. Not to be outdone, the Senators' Ben Keffer (2-2,HR,BB,SB,R) matched Katz in the 2nd with his 1st career home run.
In the third, the Senators broke it open and never looked back, scoring 5 more runs off starter Neil Doherty. Starting pitcher Joe Burns, Matt Meuse and Dave Timmons carried the Senator offense each with a single, an extra base hit and at least one run scored.
On the mound for the Senators, Joe Burns pitched a complete game, striking out 9 and allowing only 3 earned runs on 7 hits. |
