Andrew Hubbard pitched the Sox to victory, tossing 6 steady innings before making way the Matt Smith who closed out the 7th. Frank Nellenback took the loss for the Grays. The Sox took the lead in the first inning with RBI singles from Anthony Tomaro and Brett Rudy and never relinquished it, scoring in each of the first 5 innings. Of note, Julio Gonzalez returned to the club and caught a full game. From the leadoff slot, he went 3 for 4 with a double, triple, walk and 2 runs scored. Ivan Clemente and Felix Villalobos also had multiple hits. Matt O'Hara drew 2 walks, extending his streak of reaching base to 7 straight plate appearances. For the Grays, consecutive doubles by Scott Brodsky and Paul Branche got them going in the 1st. Multiple singles by Josh Ernstoff, a single by Chris Barrientos and a Frank Nellenback triple did the rest of the Grays damage, as they battled back in the 7th only to fall short again.
