The Mariners and Athletics continued their regional prep school tour on Sunday, moving from Belmont Hill earlier in the month to BB&N. It was a pitchers duel when these two Atlantic foes met on July 1. This time the bats were the story, with both sides combining for 19 hits. The M's Paul Schoeneck pitched well, filling in for Jarlin Gomez who left with an injury. Schoeneck notched his third win of the season, his third in relief. He was aided by Matt Dumont and Tim DeMarco, who had 3 hits apiece, as well as a Corey Aldoupolis 3-run homerun. For the A's, Pedro Gil (3 hits) and Andrew Billig (2 hits) were on the basepaths all day.
