Andrew Hubbard tossed a 1-hit complete game with 7 K's to lead the White Sox over the M's. The Sox struck first blood when Matt Deeb walked to leadoff the game and Ivan Clemente and Omar Ortiz had consecutive RBI singles. The M's tied the game at 2-2 in the third inning when Tim DeMarco ripped the only hit of the game, a double that scored Dave Woods who had reached on error, as well as himself, after an outfield throwing error. The game remained tied until the 6th when Steve Baldassari reached on error. With two outs, Matt Smith, Brent Campbell and Felix Villalobos delivered consecutive singles to break open the game and take the lead for good.
