After losing game one the Astros clawed their way back to .500 with a win in game 2. The stros got to Matt Coyne early to take a 4-0 lead and then the Senators tied it with the help of their second home run of the day. Then in the sixth, Don Vachon raked a double to put the stros up by one. After a leadoff double in the 7th, Mike Vernon closed the door for the save by striking out the last two batters. Scott MacKenzie got the win pitching six. His only tough inning was the fourth, but he game back with a 6 pitch 5th and got his second win of the season.
