Chris Falato (1-0) matched up against Matt Coyne (0-1) in a pitchers dual that got interesting in the 7th inning. The Sox scored 3 runs in the final frame after a few errors, a walk and RBI singles from Mike Pollak and Mike Lembo to make the score 5-1. In the bottom of the 7th, the Senators faught back. Ingram singled and later scored on a sac fly making the score 5-2. Meuse then walked. Matt LoPresti then in for relief allowed a single and a walk for the Senators to load the bases. LoPresti then K'd Ben Keffer to get the save and strand the tying 3 runs on base.
