O's squeak by the White Sox in extra innings in a tight one. The Sox bats came alive in the 4th inning, plating 5 runs to stake a 7-3 lead and chase Bryan Healey from the game. But the Orioles chipped back, beginning with Jordan Krall dunking a ball in the river beyond the RF fence. In the 6th, the baseball gods were smiling on the O's as they plated 5 runs against the Sox' bullpen on a series of well-placed bleeders, tying the game at 9 apiece. It would remain that way until the bottom of the 8th. Steve Magsam reached on a walk, Ari Rosa moved him along with a single, and then Ryan Bere and Jordan Krall both were HBP; the second plunking would force in the winning run.
