After throwing and running away the 1st game, the White Sox defense tightened up behind a strong preformance by Matt LoPresti. Matt went 6 innings yielding only 1ER off of 8 hits. Matt Smith then came in and closed the door on the Rangers after they loaded the bases in the 7th. The Sox stuck early off of two 1st inning home runs by Will Bissonette (2 for 3, HR, 2R, RBI) and Dave Martin (2 for 3, HR, 2R, RBI). The Sox struck again in the 3rd when TJ Unger (1 for 3, 2B, 3RBI) connected for a bases clearing double. For the Rangers, Chris Plant went 2 for 3 completing a 5 for 6 day at the plate. Mike Bristol drove in the lone Rangers run with a RBI single in the 7th.
