The Marlins earned a victory in a wild early Sunday morning affair at McKinney Field. Brian Caccavale locked up with the Astros' Ron Viola for five innings of what looked to be a pitcher's duel before the teams combined for fourteen runs in the sixth. All-Stars Paul Bracco and Davin Wilfrid sparked the uprising with two RBIs and two runs scored each in the big inning. Al Becker also contributed a big two out, two run double to help bolster the lead. Caccavale gutted out the last two innings to deliver a much-needed complete game to the Marlins' depleted pitching staff. Clark, Byrne, Walsh, and Peterson led the Astros' ten hit attack with two hits apiece.
