On a 90 degree day the Reds and Senators went at it in a pitchers duel between Sean Magee (Reds) and Matt Mothander (Senators). The Reds scored first in the bottom of the 4th on an RBI groundout by Chris Allen. The Senators tied the game in the 6th when Dave Timmons 2B and Greg Conant drove him home with an RBI 1B. In the bottom of the 7th for the Reds, with one out Sean Magee and Pete John both walked. After a PB and a SB making it 2nd and 3rd Mike Ciano drove in the GW run to give the Reds the 2-1 victory.
