Bryan Healey fired a complete game for the O's. After a rocky 2nd inning in which he allowed both Senators runs, Healey settled down to allow only 4 scattered singles over the rest of the game. The turning point of the game came in the 6th inning; with the game tied at 2, Andy Murachver (3-4, 2 RBI's) delivered with a bases-loaded single off Senators pitcher Matt Coyne. Coyne then proceeded to strike out the next three batters to keep the game close, but the Orioles would not relinquish their lead. The Orioles offense was sparked by Murachver, Jay Thomas (2-3, BB, 2 2B, RBI) and Jordan Krall (1-3, BB, 2 R) while the Senators were led by Greg Conant (1-3, 2B, 2 RBI's) and Matt Coyne (7 IP, 10 K's).
