Chris Stone threw a Complete Game 5-hitter for his 3rd win of the season. Stone stuck out 10 and walked none while yielding 2 runs (1 earned). Dave Martin provided the offense for the White Sox as he went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI. His RBI double in the 4th put the Sox ahead to stay, and his bases clearing double in the 6th provided some nice insurance. Hoye, O'Hara and Spoth had the other hits on the day for the Sox. The Senators got to Stone for an uneared run in the 3rd as a wild throw allowed opposing pitcher Conant to score. That would be all for the Senators until 3 singles in the 7th by Coyne, Lombardi and Ackerson plated their final run.
