Steve Sloan and Jay Wisner dueled at Ryan. Both pitchers had rough beginnings but settled in and pitched great games. It was Sloan who picked up his first MABL win as a Red. Tony Ramos highlighted the scoring early with a bases clearing double. Bernie Stevens did the same in the second for the Rangers. It was knotted until the sixth when the Reds loaded the bases. The go ahead run scored on a misplayed ball, and Pete John drove home the insurance run. Brian Delaney had a multiple hit game for the Rangers.
