White Sox 21, Senators 5
In a reunion of sorts, the White Sox defeated the Senators 21 to 5 - the most Sox runs since May 11, 2002 when they piled up 22 in a victory over the A's. The Sox batted around in the first two innings. Offensive highlights include:
- Scott Reinold: triple, homerun, HBP, 3 runs scored and 6 RBI
- Ivan Clemente: 3 hits, a walk, 3 RBI and 4 runs scored
- Will Bissonnette: 2 hits, 2 walks and 3 runs scored
- Jason Hoye, 2 hits and 2 RBI and 2 runs scored
- Earl Murphy: 2 hits, a walk, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored
Nate Pane tossed the first 5 innings, allowing just an unearned run and 4 hits. Matt LoPresti and Mike Lembo pitched the final 2 frames. Five former Sox suited up for the Senators: John Howe, Jason Ackerson, Dan Field, Joe Lombardi and Dave Timmons. Dan Field also pitched much of the game, coming in relief of Matt Coyne who started for the Senators. |
