In 87 degree heat, the Sox faced off against the Mariners in Game 2 of their doubleheader. The Mariners jumped out to a quick lead when Alan Donaruma led off the game with a single. Jamie Aldoupolis followed with another single and then Jason LaPointe singled in Donaruma. That run and those 3 hits would be all White Sox pitcher Nate Pane would allow. Nate Pane tossed the complete game victory, allowing just 3 first inning hits and a run, striking out 9. In the 4th inning, the White Sox scored 2 runs and all they would need.
